We invite you to join us for the first annual Google in Education Fairfax Summit to be held at Lee High School on August 19th and 20th, 2013. This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating, and using Google Apps for Education and other Google Tools to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The program features Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google education teams.

Janelle Buggio

Janelle Buggio is a School Based Technology Specialist with Fairfax County Public Schools.  She holds a Master's of Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Instructional Technology from Virginia Commonwealth University.  As a secondary educator she taught in classrooms devoid of technology access and in classrooms that were infused with a one-to-one laptop initiative, inspiring her to work in innovative ways to engage students and to extend student use beyond basic computing.  As an ITRT and an SBTS, she works with elementary teachers, parents, and students to promote the development of 21st century skills and to try new techniques in the classroom to increase student engagement.
