We invite you to join us for the first annual Google in Education Fairfax Summit to be held at Lee High School on August 19th and 20th, 2013. This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating, and using Google Apps for Education and other Google Tools to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The program features Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google education teams.

Andrea Jones is a school-based technology specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools. She received her BA in History and French from James Madison University and her Master’s in Secondary Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. A former French teacher, she believes that technology is the language of the 21st century and currently supports integration and collaboration in a middle school. She has a particular interest in online teaching and learning; she taught for the North Carolina Virtual Public School and Florida Virtual School and recently completed an online program in Instructional Design and Technology. Her belief that realistic technology integration is a vital piece of student success drives her work with students and teachers.
