In this session we will look at ways to use Google Earth tools and layers to make meaningful curriculum connections for all ages. We will then move into the real power of Google Earth as a learning tool – student managed content. We will practice adding our own text, images, and labels to the Earth and learn how to organize, save, and share our content. A variety of real student samples and demos will be shared to help inspire educators to use Google Earth with their students. Samples will include an interactive timeline, Lit trip, and multi-layered map. We will emphasize the use of Google Earth as both a “process” tool and a “product” tool.
